DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Southeastern's Timothy Mitchell has been named The Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week for Dec. 15. Mitchell was selected by the league's sports information directors.
In his first game of the season against Warner, Mitchell recorded a double-double with the game high 26 points and 12 rebounds. The senior shot an impressive 73% from the field and also registered three blocks and four steals in the overtime win over a previously unbeaten Royals squad. Mitchell was was a force in the final 25 minutes as he scored 21 of his 26 points in the second half and overtime.
