DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Southeastern's Andre' Winston has been named The Sun Conference Player of the Week for the week of Jan. 5. Winston joins teammate Timothy Mitchell as SEU honorees in 2014-15.
Winston had a pair of 20-point performances to help the Fire go 2-0 during the Chuck Daly Memorial Classic and Northwood over the weekend. The senior scored 22 points and added five rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes to avenge a loss to Florida National earlier in the season. The next day, he dropped 29 points in an 85-80 win over Concordia (Quebec). Winston also had six assists and four rebounds against the Stingers.
