DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - For the third time in 2014-15, St. Thomas' Dannisha Pierce has earned Sun Conference Player of the Week accolades. Pierce was chosen by the league's sports information directors.
Pierce averaged 21.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg, and 7.3 spg over the week's three games. On the week, she shot an efficient 22-of-33 (.667) from the field and 20-25 (.800) from the line. Defensively, she had an outstanding week, recording a career-high nine steals vs. Trinity International, seven steals vs. Quebec-Montreal, and six steals vs. Southeastern. She also had three blocks vs. Trinity International. In a win in The Sun Conference opener vs. Southeastern, Pierce played all 40 minutes and also pulled down eight rebounds against the Fire.
