DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - St. Thomas' Dannisha Pierce continues her dominance of The Sun Conference Player of the Week honors for 2014-15, earning her fifth such award on Monday. Pierce was chosen by the league's sports information directors.
Pierce once again was dominant with two 20+ point scoring performances and a double-double. In a 60-57 win over Embry-Riddle, Pierce led all scorers with 20 points on 10-of-17 shooting to go along with a game-high five steals. Then in a win against Johnson & Wales, Pierce recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 26 points on 11-of-14 shooting and a game-high 13 rebounds. Pierce currently leads the nation in steals-per-game (4.73) and ranks third in NAIA II in field goal pct. (.606).
