BLUFFTON, S.C. — St. Thomas' Dannisha Pierce is this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball. It is the seventh time Pierce has earned the award in 2014-15.
Pierce, a 5-foot-11 senior forward from New Haven, Conn., led the Bobcats to three Sun Conference victories this week, averaging 18.7 points, 10 rebounds, 5.7 steals and 3.7 assists. She set a school record with 12 steals against Warner while collecting 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists. Pierce followed it up with 20 points and eight rebounds in a win over Northwood and capped the week with 19 points, 13 rebounds and six assists against Ave Maria.
