BLUFFTON, S.C. — Southeastern's Alyssa Ramos is this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball. Ramos is the second Fire player to earn the award in 2014-15, joining teammate Carlie Newman.

A 5-foot-6 sophomore guard from Carlsbad, Calif., Ramos averaged 20 points in wins over Thomas, Embry-Riddle and Ave Maria this week, helping the Fire extend their winning streak to 10 games — their longest since joining in the NAIA in 2009. Ramos went 15-for-34 from 3-point range on the week and played nearly 61 minutes in the five-overtime victory at Embry-Riddle — the longest women's basketball game in NAIA history.
