BLUFFTON, S.C. — St. Thomas' Dannisha Pierce is this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball. It's the eighth time Pierce has earned the award in 2014-15.
Pierce, a 5-foot-11 senior forward from New Haven, Conn., led the Bobcats to three more wins, averaging 23.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, five assists and five steals as St. Thomas wrapped up the regular-season conference title. Pierce, who leads the nation in steals per game, posted two double-doubles in three games this week.
