BLUFFTON, S.C. — SCAD Savannah's Sofia Molinaro is this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week for women's golf. Molinaro is the first SCAD player to earn the award in 2014-15.
Molinaro, a junior from Treviso, Italy, had a fantastic week winning the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational by four strokes to help the Bees pick up their first win of the season. The tournament featured 10 teams ranked in the top 25, including four of the top five.
Molinaro followed that up by being co-champion of the Low Country Intercollegiate and leading the Bees to a third-place finish in the event, which featured 14 NCAA Division-I teams. Her second-round 70, was the only round under par for the entire tournament.
