SCAD Savannah’s Natalie Besl is this week’s Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women’s soccer. Besl is the second SCAD player to earn the award this season. A senior captain from Cincinnati, Ohio, Besl had a big week on the back line for the Bees, helping guide the SCAD to two wins, including a 2-1 upset over third-ranked Keiser in which the Bees held the Seahawks scoreless for 89 minutes. She followed that up by playing a big role in SCAD's 3-0 shutout of Johnson & Wales. The Bees limited the Wildcats to four shots to earn their sixth shutout of the season.
