Michael Walker led St. Thomas to a season-opening victory over Florida National last week scoring 42 points. Walker scored 33 of his 42 points in the second half to break open the game for St. Thomas which trailed 26-15 early on and led by only one point at halftime. Walker shot an efficient 15-of-23 from the field and set a new school record for three-pointers made in a game with eight threes on 12 attempts. The 42 points were the most scored by a Bobcat since Antonio Jones scored 46 in 2007-08. Walker was also perfect from the free throw line, while also tallying four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals.
