Gillespie continued his dominant start to the 2021 campaign, tossing seven shutout innings in an eight-inning run-rule victory for SEU over Warner. Gillespie has now struck out at least eight batters in all three of his starts this season, as he fanned nine Royals on Thursday night. The University of New Mexico transfer has yet to allow a run to score through 22.1 innings pitched this season and is allowing opposing bats to hit just .085 against him.
