DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- Senior point guard Sean Banks averaged 22 points and shot 62.0 percent from the field on the week to lead Florida Memorial University to a 2-0 week in the Florida Sun Conference snapping No. 1-ranked Embry-Riddle's 20-game winning streak with a 71-68 home win and on Saturday posted a 73-71 road victory at Flagler College. Banks earned FSC Player of the Week honors for the week ending February 5th, conference officials announced today.
Banks helped FMU stay in the hunt for the FSC regular-season title standing at 5-2 in the league and 14-12 overall. He started the week posting 23 points, three rebounds, two steals and was 7-for- from the floor (3-for-3 beyond the three-point arc to defeat ERAU and followed with 21 points, five boards, two assists,, two steals hitting 8-of-15 from the floor (2-for-4 from long range) in the Linos' win againsat Flagler.
