Simpson ran “A” standard time, Sun Conference #1, and NAIA #1 1:01.94 in the 400m hurdles for 3rd overall at the Bulls Invitational. She also ran the 400m in 56.25 which is also “A” standard, No. 2 in the Sun Conference, and No. 2 in the NAIA for fourth overall at the Bulls Invitational. She then ran the third leg in the women’s 4x400 team that went 3:47.47 which was two seconds faster than their national title victory two weeks ago and just off the school record which is 3:47.07. That time is also No. 1 in the Sun Conference and No. 1 in the NAIA, currently.
This is Simpson’s first TSC weekly award of the season and fifth of her career.
