Bottari belted three home runs as the Fire took two-of-three at USCB this weekend, moving him within one of tying the SEU program record for homers in a season whic has stood for nearly 15 years (BBCOR bat era). In the first game of the weekend, the super senior was 2-for-4 with two homers and three RBIs in a 9-1 win, then was 3-for-4 with another homer and a double in an 8-6 win. Saturday, Bottari was 2-for-4 with two runs scored, giving him eight total in the three game set. With a .583 average on the week, Bottari boosted his team-leading batting average to .426.
This is Bottari’s first TSC weekly award of the season and first of his career.
