DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- Embry-Riddle University forward Michael Pyle went out in style on his senior night not only defeating his team's arch-rival Flagler College 76-66 at home, but recorded 27 points, hauled down nine rebounds and shot an amazing 73.0 percent from the field to earn the final 2005-06 FSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors for the week ending February 19th, conference officials announced today.

With ERAU's second-leading scorer Ryan Exter (14.5 ppg) going down with an injury just minutes into the game, 2005 third-team All-American Pyle took control of the game and carried the team on his back recording his sixth 20-plus effort of the season connecting on 11-of-15 attempts from the floor. He got into great position underneath the basket as evidenced by eight layups and a dunk among his 11 field goals. He added nine rebounds as the No. 1-ranked Eagles clinched their seventh Florida Sun Conference regular-season championship.

Pyle also became the 16th ERAU player to record 1,000 points in his career in this contest achieving the feat in just two years with the Eagles. He joins teammates Exter and Denny Joseph who also joined the 1,000-point club this season. Pyle also joined the 500-rebound club in just two years with ERAU.
