DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Savannah College of Art and Design senior Ryan Strefling collected Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week honors after leading the Bees to a perfect 5-0 record, the league office announced today.
Strefling, from Granger, Ind., finished the week with a .474 (9-for-19) batting average, a .632 slugging percentage, four runs scored, five RBI, and two stolen bases. He had back-to-back two-for-four, one-double games in a two-game set against Bluefield, with two RBI in Tuesday’s game and three on Wednesday.
After managing just one hit in the first game of the three-game series against Embry-Riddle, Strefling went three-for-three in game two and knocked out his third double of the week in game three as the Bees swept the Eagles to improve to 11-6 overall and 4-2 in the FSC.
