In his first game back after suffering a season-ending injury last season, Shaquille Harris posted a career-high 23 points to lead the Seahawks to a 79-66 season-opening victory over Voorhees on Thursday. The native of Miami shot 81.0 percent from the floor and was 3-of-4 from beyond the arc to register the team's first 20-point outing of the 2021-22 season. He also grabbed eight rebounds versus the Tigers. With his performance, KU improved to 12-4 all-time in season-opening games.
This is Harris’ first SUN weekly award of the season and the second of his career.
