Fernandez threw the first no-hitter in Ave Maria history on Friday afternoon, tossing seven innings of no-hit ball against Ohio Christian. In his first collegiate start, the righthander faced the minimum 21 hitters, with his two walks immediately being erased by double plays. Fernandez struck out four Ohio Christian hitters in AMU's 14-0 victory.
