Fernandez had an impressive week for St. Thomas that has them catching fire going a perfect 7-0 to wrap up their spring break trip. Fernandez collected a hit in six. of seven games with four being multi-hit performances. The sophomore ended the week with a 5-for-5 showing hitting two home runs and bringing home seven RBIs. On the week Fernandez hit .591 and slugged 1.000 with an OBP of .654. The starter at the hot corner also went perfect on defense putting out all of his total chances.
This is Fernandez’ first SUN weekly award of the season and the first of his career.
