Richard Sanchez was lights out on Saturday afternoon shutting down #20 Keiser in Sun Conference action. Sanchez kept the Seahawks scoreless for six innings allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out a career-high 13 batters. The sophomore held Keiser to a .182 average against a rarity for them as the team average is .324 for the season while scoring nine runs per game. This was the series clinching win for the #11 Bobcats and ultimately the momentum needed to sweep the Top-20 series.
This is Sanchez’ first SUN weekly award of the season and the first of his career.
