DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Sophomore outfielder Glenn Kiture was named the Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week after leading Flagler to a 6-1 record last week. Kiture batted .478 (11-for-23) with an .826 slugging percentage and totaled six runs scored, eight doubles, and nine RBI.
A native of Orlando, Fla., Kiture enjoyed a four-for-four, four-RBI performance and drove in the game-winner in an 11-7 Saints victory over Palm Beach Atlantic. Kiture, who only had five doubles coming into last week’s contests, doubled in five consecutive trips to the plate with four against Palm Beach Atlantic and one against Mount Mercy.
Kiture closed out the week going two-for-four with a double and three RBI to lead the Saints past Grand View, 8-2.
