DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – After notching his fifth win of 2006 against Warner Southern in league play last weekend, Savannah College of Art and Design’s Eddie Anderson was named the Florida Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Anderson, from Bradenton, Fla., went the distance and held the sixth-ranked Royals scoreless as the Bess claimed a 3-0 victory, which snapped a 15-game Warner Southern win streak. The sophomore right-hander struck out 10 batters and allowed just five hits and two walks in seven innings to improve to 5-4 on the year. He has a 2.87 ERA, 59 strikeouts and a team-high six complete games in 12 appearances.
