Sekinger earned three wins and a save in her four appearances this week, working 20 shutout innings. The freshman held opponent bates to just a .125 success rate. Sekinger struck out 18, walked just three and allowed eight hits. In the doubleheader against Thomas, Sekinger allowed just two hits in the seventh to earn the win, then in the second game struck out half the batters she faced over two innings to get the save.
This is Sekinger‘s second SUN weekly award of the season and the second of her career.
