Negron had a historic performance over the weekend that helped boost STU over USCB. Negron became the single season leader in triples for St. Thomas with her seventh on the year. The next triple was her third of the game and eighth of the season, with the triple she tied the NAIA record with three triples in a single game, she also is second overall in the NAIA and first in the conference. The senior hit .471 while slugging 1.059 on the week. In the winning series Negron hit .600 with a 1.500 slugging.
This is Negron’s first SUN weekly award of the season and the first of her career.
