Camila Puente continues to be the constant stable in the Bobcat lineup. Puente helped the Bobcats overcome the .500 threshold on a near perfect performance at the IWU Invitational. Despite the team dropping 2-4 to #3 IWU, Puente took her Singles match upsetting #30 ranked Mendez. The graduate student extends her win streak to 10 matches in singles. In doubles, Puente and Carrera have won eight of their last 10 doubles matches, just falling to the no. 2 and 3 ranked doubles teams in the country (IWU and KU). Puente dominated just dropping one set in singles and kept her final three competitors in singles play to just seven games total.
This is Camila Puente’s first SUN weekly award of the season and the first of her career.
