Return man and defensive back Wendol Philord played a key role in the Seahawk's 36-31 win at No. 16 St. Thomas on Saturday. The sophomore from Miramar, Florida, returned five kicks for 196 yards, averaging 39.2 yards per return. The biggest was a 75-yard return after the Bobcats took a 31-30 lead with just over 2:00 left in the game. The long return setup the Keiser's go-ahead touchdown (a 14-yard run by Marques Burgess). Philord also recorded four tackles (1.0 TFL) and a clutch interception early in the third quarter. On the year, Philord is averaging 31.46 yards per return.
