He punished the Fire defense, taking on tacklers to increase his season rushing total to 870 yards. His play helped lead the Seahawks to the most-lopsided victory in the series history with the Fire. On the year, Burgess has tallied nine rushing touchdowns while averaging 108.75 years per game. His 191 yards increased his career rushing total to 4,525 yards, passing Dalvin Cook (Florida State - 4,464) for the most career rushing yards by a running back from a collegiate team from the state of Florida.
