Wendol Philord continues to state his case as one of the nation's most dangerous return men as the defensive back notched his second punt return for a touchdown this past weekend. With Keiser leading 3-0 early in the first, Philord to an Ave Maria punt 69 yard for the score, extending the Seahawks' lead to 10-0. The score sparked a 34-point first half for the Seahawks. Philord becomes the first Keiser player to return multiple punts for touchdowns both in the same season and all-time. For the game, Philord totaled 134 yards in returns (both kickoff and punt). He also added five tackles in the contest. On the year, Philord has returned 11 kickoffs for 299 yards and a touchdown, averaging a conference-best 27.2 yards per return. He is also averaging 22.5 yards per punt return (tops in the league) with 225 yards on 10 total returns. He already owns the school record for punt return yards in a season and his kick return season total is third best in Keiser history.
