DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Denver Cobb helped the No. 8 Embry-Riddle University men's basketball team remain a perfect 2-0 in the Florida Sun Conference last week to earn FSC men's basketball Player of the Week honors for the week ending Jan. 14th, conference officials announced today.

The three-point weapon for the Eagles was on his game last week hitting three long-range bombs against Warner Southern to open FSC play with an all-important road victory and then followed with a career-high 25 points in the Eagles 83-72 victory against No. 19 Northwood (Fla.) at home. Entering the weekend averaging just better than four rebounds a game, Cobb also proved his value on the glass hauling down seven boards against WSC and then followed matching his career-high with nine against Northwood. Maybe more importantly than all of the scoring, three-point buckets and rebounding was converting 15-of-16 from the charity stripe (94.0 percent) including critical free throws down the stretch in both contests.

Other Nominees: Cory Mcjimson, Northwood (Fla.) Errol Porteous, Warner Southern (Fla.) Eze Andrews, Savannah College of Art and Design (Ga.)
