PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Savannah College of Art and Design's Hallie Cochran became the first-ever Florida Sun Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 11th, conference officials announced today.
The award was instituted after approval by the FSC Sports Information Directors over the summer and will be awarded each week for both a men's and women's golfer during the traditional spring golf schedule.
Cochran helped her team claim third among six teams at the Armstrong Atlantic State University Lady Pirate Invitational Feb. 12-13 at the Southbridge Golf Club (par-72, 6,007 yards). She earned fifth-place at the event with a 164 total (81-83=164).
