DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--Embry-Riddle junior Jordan Roberts was named FSC Pitcher of the Week, conference officials announced today. The native of Labelle, Fla. becomes the second consecutive Eagle to win the award.
Roberts was impressive in all areas last week, winning two games, one as a starter and one in relief, and closing out another to earn his first save.
In a 10-4 win over Southeastern, Roberts allowed one unearned run in five innings, striking out four. In the opener of a doubleheader against Webber International, Roberts pitched three and two-thirds innings of no-hit relief, striking out five, and in the nightcap, shut down a Warriors rally to earn the save.
