DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the second straight week, Embry-Riddle sophomore Carlos Bes was tabbed as the Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week.

Against St. Thomas on Thursday, Bes stepped up to play in the top spot in both doubles and singles. At No. 1 doubles, he and teammate Istvan Bolgar downed STU’s Turnquest and Forman and at No. 1 singles, Turnquest fell victim to Bes again 6-0, 6-1.

Two days later, Bes helped the Eagles to an 8-1 victory over No. 8 Savannah College of Art and Design. After he and Bolgar defeated Willy Frei and Christian Werge at No.2 doubles, Bes registered a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles to improve his dual match record to 5-1 on the year.
