PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Embry-Riddle University's Autumn Gee helped the Eagles capture the CSU San Marcos Cougar Invitational title and claimed second-place honors individually to earn Florida Sun Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 25th, conference officials announced today. 

The event played at the 6,049-yard par-72 Lake San Marcos CC was shortened by rain to an 18-hole shootout after rain washed out the course and the first round.  The California native showed her knowledge for the different terrain and altitude by finishing second among 67 players firing a 79 and led the No. 2-ranked Eagles to the tournament title.
The Eagles posted a 331 team total defeating the likes of No. 5 SNU 333, No. 18 SCAD 334, Concordia (Calif.) 335, No. 17 California Baptist 335, No. 6 Cal-State San Marcos 336, No. 3 British Columbia 337, No. 10 Berry (Ga.) 339, Grand Canyon 343, No. 21 Victoria 344, No. 8 Concordia (Ore.), Notre Dame de Namur (Calif.) 355 and Cal-State East Bay 388.
