DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Konstantin Lazarov became the second Embry-Riddle tennis player to be tabbed as the Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week on Wedensday. Lazarov, who is unbeaten in singles play in dual matches this season at 9-0, won all four of his matches last week. In addition, he and doubles partner Mislav Hizak extended their doubles record to 8-1 with four wins last week.

Lazarov started off the week with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles to clinch the Eagles’ 6-3 win over NCAA I Xavier (Ohio) on Tuesday and the following day, he notched an easy 6-1, 6-1 win against Patrick Bruining from No. 17 Aquinas.

On Friday, he faced a tough opponent in Josep Molet from NCAA II No. 32 Concordia (N.Y.), but he proved up to the challenge notching a 6-4, 6-1 win. Lazarov closed out the week with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Xavier’s (La.) Terry Richardson.
