PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Savannah College of Art and Design's Jennifer Vigilante captured her second medalist honors of the year defeating 41 golfers at the Eagle Invitational March 19-20 at Pelican Bay Country Club's North Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. She helped the No. 14 Bees capture team title honors with an upset victory against No. 2 and tournament host Embry-Riddle University.  For her efforts, she was named Florida Sun Conference Women's Golf Player of the Week for the week ending Mar. 25th, conference officials announced today. 

Vigilante mounted a furious comeback at the 54-hole Jekyll Island Women's Collegiate Invitational at the 5,803-yard par-72 Indian Mound Golf Course.  After opening the tournament with an 87, she fired back with two sub-80 rounds to finished tied for 13th (87-76-78-241) among 125 golfers .  The Bees finished fourth of 23 teams at the event with the three teams that finished ahead of SCAD being ranked in top seven of the NAIA and NCAA Division III.

At the Eagle Invite, she finished with a 157 total (81-76=157) which saw the Bees defeat not only the No. 2 Eagles, but Northwood (Texas), Dartmouth College, Webber International, Northwood (Fla.), Trevecca Nazarene and Nebraska Wesleyan.
