DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Embry-Riddle sophomore Stuart Patterson has been named the Florida Sun Conference Performer of the Month for March, the league office announce on Thursday.
On Mar. 5, Patterson met the NAIA’s “A” qualifying standard for the marathon at the Seaside Half Marathon. A native of Hesperia, Calif., Patterson finished second overall out of 526 runners in 1:12.06. He ran seven minutes faster than his previous attempt in December and in so doing, he set a new Embry-Riddle record.
At the FSU Relays, Patterson lowered another ERAU record. In the men’s 10K, he crossed the line in 33:05.11 to take sixth place overall.
