DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Northwood sophomore Kara Otterbine helped the Seahawks to a 2-0 FSC record last week. She averaged 18 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 3.5 blocks and shot 71 percent from the field. to earn Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week honors for the second time this season.
On Friday, the Wayne N.J. native scored 13 points on 6-9 from the field and pulled down 12 boards to lead Northwood to an 86-60 win over Florida Memorial.
The following day, Otterbine extended her double-double streak to three games with a 23-point, 11-rebound performance in the Seahawks' 77-66 victory over St. Thomas. She also had six blocks and two assists in that game.
