DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the third time this season, Northwood sophomore Kara Otterbine was named the Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week after leading the Seahawks to a pair of wins last week. Otterbine averaged 23.5 points, 11 rebounds and 3.5 blocks as Northwood improved its overall record 17-3 on the year.
Against Webber International, Otterbine had 23 points, 11 boards and four blocks. She was also 7-8 from the free throw line as the Seahawks downed the Warriors 90-72.
Otterbine followed that performance up with 24 points and 12 rebounds in a 76-53 win over Warner Southern. She had a good all-round performance contributing two assists, three blocks and a steal, as well as converting on six of seven free throw attempts.
