DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Warner Southern’s Ivan Soberal was named the Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 10, the league office announced on Tuesday. She averaged 44.4 percent from the field and 46.2 percent from beyond the arc in two games last week.

Soberal scored a game-high 19 points in a 57-56 loss to Savannah College of Art & Design, connecting on eight of 19 field goal attempts, three of which were three pointers. She also collected eight rebounds and added an assists, a block and two steals to the Royals’ effort.

Soberal was the leading scorer in Warner Southern’s 59-53 win over Edward Waters, tallying a career-high 23 points to lead the Royals’ to their first conference win of the season. For the second straight game, she had eight field goals and three three-point baskets, but she was also 4-for-4 from the free throw line with five boards, three assists and two steals in the six-point win.
