DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. –Embry-Riddle junior Tyler DeBord was named the Florida Sun Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season after leading the Eagles to a pair of conference wins last week. DeBord who had back-to-back double-doubles and leads the league in that category with 12, averaged 20 points and 12.5 rebounds on the week and was a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line.
Against Webber International, DeBord was 8-of-12 from the field and 6-for-6 from the charity stripe for 22 points. He also pulled down a game-high 11 boards and contributed two blocks and two steals to the Eagles’ 76-72 win over the Warriors.
On Saturday, DeBord recorded game-highs in points (18) and rebounds (14) to lead ERAU to a 66-60 win over Warner Southern. He was 6-of-11 from the field and recorded his second straight two-steal game to go with a block and an assist.
