DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The conference office announced Tuesday that Charles Thomas of Edward Waters, was named the Florida Sun Conference Player of the week after his outstanding performance in four games for the Tigers this past week.
Thomas tallied five home runs on the week, with three coming in one game against Clearwater Christian College. He was the first Tiger to every mark three home runs in one game.
He led his team to four wins, hitting .500 on the week. He marked seven RBI and eight runs on the week. Thomas also had one stolen base and one double.
Other nominees include: Jairo Veras, Northwood; Eric Ogden, Embry-Riddle; Nico Vazquez, Warner Southern; Nick Martinez, St. Thomas; and Matt Cox, SCAD.
