DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Edward Water's sophomore Bryan Joseph has been named the Florida Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, announced by the Conference office.
Joseph set two records at EWC this past week, pitching the institution's first no-hitter and struck out 13 on his way to setting the single game record. Joseph threw his landmark game against Morris College, leading his team to a 15-0 victory. He gave up only on walk, nearly pitching a perfect game.
On the week he had two wins, which included a 15-3 win over Florida Memorial. He pitched five innings in the contest, giving up three runs and striking out seven.
Other nominees include: Neil Forsyth, Northwood; Johnny Montoya, St. Thomas; and Jordan Roberts, Embry-Riddle.
