DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Savannah College of Art and Design junior Mallory Phillips was selected as The Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 13. Phillips is a defender from Lexington, S.C. who helped the Bees’ to a 3-2, double overtime upset of sixth-ranked Northwood on Saturday. She was part of the defensive unit that held the NAIA’s leading scorer to just one shot on goal as the Bees topped the Seahawks for the first time in 11 meetings.
