DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Northwood senior DeSean White earned The Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week honors after leading the Seahawks to four wins during the week ending Jan. 4. White averaged 27 points and 14.5 rebounds, and shot 56 percent from the field and 84 percent from the free throw line during the four-game stretch. He also garnered MVP honors in both tournaments that Northwood competed in.

White began the week with a 26-point, 16 rebound outing in a 71-70 win over Missouri Baptist. He followed that with 28 points and 15 boards against St. Xavier and was perfect from the charity stripe in both games, going 6-for-6 and 5-for-5, respectively.

White finished with 30 points, just two points shy of Northwood's single-game scoring record in a 81-72 victory against Emmanuel. The following night, he put up 24 points, handed out four assists and pulled down 15 rebounds in a 73-60 win over Malone.
