DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- For the third time this season, St. Thomas guard Antonio Jones was selected as The Sun Conference men's basketball Player of the Week. The league's leading scorer at 22.91 points per game, Jones led the Bobcats to a 1-1 record on the week, averaging 37 minutes of playing time over the two games.
Against Florida Memorial College, Jones totaled 20 points on six of 11 shooting from the field, but the Bobcats came up one point short, falling to the Lions 79-78. his next game saw Jones put up 31 points and record four rebounds and three assists in the Bobcats 81-76 upset of No. 12 Embry-Riddle.
Jones finished the week averaging 25. 5 points, 3.5 boards, and two assists. He shot 53.3 percent from the field and 84.6 percent from the charity stripe.
