DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Florida Memorial senior Kiesha Alexander has been selected as The Sun Conference women's basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 1. Alexander averaged 18.5 points 12 rebounds, two assists and 4.5 steals to lead the Lions to a 2-0 mark on the week.
Against Edward Waters, Alexander played 38 minutes and put up 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead Florida Memorial to 71-56 win. She was 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, 2-for-2 from the free throw line and had three assists and seven steals in that game.
Alexander also played the majority of the game against Savannah College of Art and Design, tallying 16 points and 13 rebounds in a 56-53 win over the Bees.
