DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Warner sophomore Ivana Soberal was the unanimous selection for The Sun Conference women’s basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 15. Soberal averaged 23.2 points four rebounds and 2.3 assists to lead the Royals to a 3-0 record on the week.
In her first game of the week, the 5-6 guard scored 16 points and added five boards and three assists in a 66-38 win over Southeastern. In the Royals’ next game, Soberal had a career night, tallying a career-best 30 points, seven rebounds and four assists to lead Warner to a 77-67 win over SCAD, marking the first time in three seasons that the Royals topped the Bees.
Soberal closed out the week with a 24-point performance against Edward Waters to help the Royals triple their conference wins from last season.
