DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – For the fifth time this season, Antonio Jones was selected as THe Sun Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. The St. Thomas junior led his team to two wins last week and a tie for second in The Sun Conference race, averaging 27 points, seven rebounds and 5.5 steals.

The Bobcats’ first game of the week saw Jones put up 23 points on 5-of-12 shooting in a 70-62 win over Savannah College of Art and Design on the road. Jones also had five rebounds, two assist, a block and seven steals and was 11 of 14 from the charity stripe.

In a 67-59 home win over Florida Memorial, Jones totaled 31 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out three assists and had four steals. He shot 64.7 percent (11-16) from the field and was 7-of-8 from the free throw line against the Lions.
