DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Branden Roper-Hubbert, a junior from Embry-Riddle, has been named The Sun Conference Player of the Week announced Monday by the Conference office.
Roper-Hubbert hit .455 on the week for Embry-Riddle as he became the 20th Eagle in program history to hit two home runs in a game, as he knocked two over Sliwa Stadium's left field fence against Missouri Baptist on Friday. He had a slugging percentage of 1.364 that was aided by four multiple-base hits on the week that included two home runs and two triples. Roper-Hubbert was 5-for-11 in five games with five runs and four RBI while drawing four walks.
On the season, Roper-Hubbert is hitting .333 with 26 hits, 23 runs and 18 RBI. He has tallied nine multiple-base hits this season.
