DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Corey Johnson, a junior from Warner, was named The Sun Conference Player of the Week, announced Monday by the conference office.
Johnson hit .556 on the week, going 10-for-18 from the plate. He tallied nine runs for the the Royals while picking up nine RBI. Johnson hit three home runs in one game, totaling four on the week. He also caught two runners stealing in the conference series against Webber International.
Other nominees include: Nestor Rincon, St. Thomas; oscar DePablos, Northwod; Matt Steele, Embry-Riddle; Mark Stewart, SCAD; Chad Pearce, Webber Internationa; and David O'Neil, South Carolina-Beaufort.
